LPW Gallery, Leicester - No one will know how happy Iíve been
An exhibition of etchings by illustrator Suzanne Balkanyi (1922-2005) from the 1950s and 1960s. This will be the first posthumous show of Balkanyiís work in the UK. As well as being an artist and illustrator, Balkanyi was a founder member of the Society of Engravers, Pointe et Burin, in Paris.

Bodleian Libraries, Oxford- Tolkien: maker of Middle-earth
The most extensive collection of materials related to JRR Tolkien to have been gathered together for public display since the 1950s. It includes over 200 items, many not displayed in public before.

Fry Gallery, Saffron Walden - Bawden at home
Edward Bawden was educated in Saffron Walden and spent his last 19 years living in the town. This exhibition includes over 200 artworks and other items, many of which have either not been seen before or not displayed in recent years.

London Transport Museum - Poster girls: a century of art and design

Tate Britain, London - Edward Burne-Jones
The first major retrospective of Edward Burne-Jones (1833-98) in the UK for over 40 years. Renowned for otherworldly depictions of beauty inspired by myth, legend and the Bible, the artist was the only Pre-Raphaelite to achieve worldwide recognition in his lifetime. This exhibition brings together 150 works across painting, stained glass and tapestry.
